Laura’s passion is supporting families through pregnancy, labor and birth, and the early postpartum period. Everyone deserves to feel supported and uplifted on the day they welcome a child into the world. Birth work is an incredible calling, and it is her honor to come alongside moms during these transformative moments. She and her husband have three beautiful and boisterous children, and when not caring for expecting families you can find her romping through the woods with them, enjoying a cup of coffee, or getting lost in a good book.
She has been serving families as a doula since 2020. In 2021, she received her certification from Childbirth International. She has supported births in many local hospitals, birth centers, and homes. She values continued education, and has completed several beneficial trainings, including Spinning Babies, Trauma-Informed Training for Doulas, Preventing Trauma in the Birth Room, and Core Breastfeeding Education.
For Laura, doula support isn't about telling her clients the "right" way to birth, because there is no one right way. Rather, her goal is to provide evidence-based information and help clients uncover their own values and desires, and support those wholeheartedly. No matter how birth unfolds, Laura’s role is to serve and to foster an atmosphere of joy.
Services Include:
Free Consultation - Get to know Laura over coffee or tea while finding the perfect fit to support your desires for birth.
Basic Birth Package - 2 prenatal visits for birth vision and hands on support, text and email support, in person labor/birth support from onset of active labor, & 1 postnatal visit. - $900
Nourishing Birth Package - 2 prenatal visits for birth vision and hands on support, text and email support, in person labor/birth support from onset of active labor, & 1 extended postnatal visit that includes a nourishing postpartum meal prepared by Cocina Cura, an herbal bath to support the body. - $1000
Additional Appointments - Birth Vision, Hands-On Support, Nourishing Postpartum, Pre/postnatal Mental Wellness, Birth Trauma Processing, and Fetal Position Support can be added to a birth package or chosen independently. $50-150 each.
