Rene lives in rural Northeast Indiana with her husband and children. A wife and mother she spends much of her time with her family, homeschools her children, and enjoys people, birth, crocheting, learning, studying the Bible, teaching and traveling.
Having always loved babies, she became well acquainted with the process of bringing a precious little one into the world through her own birth experiences. Prenatal, birth, postpartum, nursing, and raising children have made up a large part of her last 23 years.
Rene had a wide variety of birthing experiences delivering naturally and with epidurals, being induced, hospital births, and laboring at home. She claims that birth grew her as a person, deepened her intimacy with God building her faith and trust in Him, and strengthened her as a woman. She has been left in awe and wonder at her God and His miracle of life.
Rene’ is passionate about passing on her love of birth, and about educating women regarding how God uniquely designed them for this purpose.
She graduated with her BA in Christian Education from Moody Bible Institute, and her MAT from Olivet Nazarene University. She is certified through and works with Global Birth Community as a Birth Doula in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and is also certified with International Childbirth Education Association, and is pursuing certification with Association of Certified Biblical Counselors and Stillbirthday.
She welcomes the opportunity to be a support and resource any way she can for all women during pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and breast-feeding. She also specializes in helping women acclimate to the birth of children into large families, and has a uniquely gentle and loving way of walking alongside expectant and birthing women who are in crisis or difficult marriages.
Please feel free to contact her to chat. She looks forward to walking alongside you, learning from you, and growing with you during this amazing season of your life.
