Heidi Gross is a certified birth doula serving Warsaw & the greater Fort Wayne area, where she lives with her husband and two children. She was first introduced to the idea of a doula after researching doulas after (not before) the birth of her first baby, & discovered she was passionate about finding a way to help empower others to achieve positive birth experience.

Before receiving her birth doula certification through the International Doula Institute (IDI), she graduated from Whitworth University with B.A. in Spanish Language and Teaching English as a Second Language. She has also completed a certification in the use of a TENS unit from DoulaVersity, and a Prenatal/Postnatal Fitness Certification.

Because of her background in Spanish Language, she is able to reach clients who can speak both English and Spanish, so she can support and be an advocate for them in their native language. In her free time, she enjoys working on her homestead, learning about using holistic & natural products, or even making her own!

Heidi believes that birth is about the family completing the life-changing transition that ends with bringing your baby into the world. Mothers should not be taught how to birth, but instead learn about birth. As a doula, she strives to advocate for parents so that they can remain relaxed and in control of their situation as they discuss options, evaluate the situation, and make informed decisions about their own labor and delivery. Birth is a normal, natural experience, and when allowed to function as nature intended without fear, it is a joyful & fulfilling experience. By developing a trust & belief in your birthing body without the mindset of fear, you are naturally able to make the best decisions for you & your baby.

  • Continuous phone & text support throughout your pregnancy.

  • 2 Prenatal Appointments to discuss your birth vision, work through fears, physical support for you + your partner, & provide helpful tools to use during the labor & delivery of your baby.

  • Birth Photography + Lifestyle Newborn Session

  • 24 hour on call service starting at 38 weeks from your estimated due date.

  • Labor & Birth support from the onset of active labor until the shortly after the delivery of your baby, whether you choose to have a home, birth center, or hospital birth. This also includes the optional use of a TENS unit.

  • One postpartum appointment

  • Optional: Birth Photography, Birth Story Videography, Maternity - First Year Photo Packages available as well.
